Mr. Gabarrón has worked several times with the United Nations. In 2015, his sculpture “Enlightened Universe” was inaugurated in Central Park in New York City to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United Nations. The sculpture then travelled to Geneva, where it was on exhibit from October to December 2016, promoting human rights and the values of tolerance and acceptance. Indeed, Mr. Gabarrón attaches a lot of importance in sharing values through his artwork, such as education, humanity and freedom. The artist’s artwork is vivid, colorful and full of hope. It talks to children and the artist participates in educating them through the medium of art and the transmittal of values.
Previously, in 2011, the Gabarrón Foundation had worked with the UN Forum on Forests to organize a global art competition on the theme of forests.
